In this week’s Unstill Life, we spoke with Giuseppe Cinque of Buca Trattoria on State Street; bridging the language gap, Lisa wrote about her conversation with him.
When you crave an authentic Italian dining experience that will leave your belly full and a smile permanently stretched across your face, look no further than Buca Trattoria on State Street. Run by owner, Giuseppe Cinque, Buca offers cuisine from the old country to make you feel right at home. When the pandemic hit the USA and closed a lot of small, local restaurants, to in-house diners, Giuseppe remained open for take-out services to supply the community with his wonderful dishes full of passion and love. Although I’ve only known Giuseppe for a few months, we have grown to be friends and our discussions range from cooking with that special Italian love, the area where our familia originated (Napoli region), to disagreeing about soccer (him being a Napoli supporter and me Juventus – like my father before me). Try his chicken parm or gnocchi! It’s simply to die for!
